Sqawk angsty-anger at
A fishing eagle out front.
A high-pitched plaintiff squeal
Ties all this sound together,
From an autistic boy, deaf
With no language, screaming
To make the world take note.
One day I hope to hear a lone wolf
Return his call, complete
The circuit, like SETI
Dishes pointed at the heavens,
Awaiting aliens or god,
Most likely one and the same.
