Synesthesian Thoughts
[Portage, April 24, 2011]

What’s the sound of an orange,
Color of an octave,
Scent of a moonbeam,
Feel of a shadow,
Music for a mute,
Sound of silence,
Depth of a mountain’s roots
Speed of coronary plaque
Distance thought travels
Flavor of dinosaur back-strap
Flexibility of granite,
Like what if string theory
applies only to kites,
Ignorance knows no limits,
And, Stupidity a gift from god,
Like hair-sprouting warts,
What then are the odds
that among 200 billion
Galaxies that we humans
Are the Sole Sentients? Huh?.
